We are committed to fostering excellence in education. We firmly believe that teaching is not about knowledge downloads, but opening the minds of young learners. We guide each of our students towards learning, comprehensively focusing on the overall development.
02.07.2010 has truly become an auspicious memorable day in the history of Chinmaya Mission, as history brought once more many heads, hearts and working hands to continue striving for a noble cause in the most constructive and progressive area of life, that is, education. With strength of 200 students, eleven faculty members, the school started functioning. His Holiness Swami Tejomayanandaji, Head, Chinmaya Mission World-wide visited the school in August 2011 and blessed the staff and students.
The Vidyalaya operating under Central Chinmaya Mission Trust, Mumbai, besides offering formal education through the CBSE stream, imparts value based education which extends a strong and effective moral foundation. The methodology based on “Chinmaya Vision Programme” established a foundation for integrated personality development, extends an indepth, knowledge of Indian –culture and instills feelings of patriotism.
The school has grown from a strength of 200 students to 700 students and the teaching faculty form eleven to thirty seven. The school has 22 classrooms, 3 smart classrooms and four laboratories, a spacious playground, a basket ball and throw ball court and an auditorium with a seating capacity of 500. The subject clubs of our school like literary club, mathematics, science and social studies, reading, G.K. and Karuna Clubs keep the students aware of the latest developments in the respective sphere. Students are also inspired to take part in all cultural activities at the intra and inter school levels. Teachers of our Vidyalaya are sent for seminars to keep abreast of the latest changes and trends in the teaching methodology and to quench their thirst for knowledge.
The dizzy height of tomorrow beckons the children of today and it is the duty of parents, teachers and society to trigger optimism in them.
From a feudal, quiet sleeping society, our country is today marching into the modern, fast, electronic age with our heads flaming with material ambitions and our hearts shrunk into ugly selfishness. The overemphasis of materialism has made individuals twisted and ugly in their essential cultural grace.
The politician, the economist and the scientist cannot see anything beyond the material world, when they should. There is the job of organizing and creating a rich, prosperous and peaceful world around, with technology contributing to the society. The educationists are to bring about an extra beauty in the performance of man in the society as a result of his cultivated inner discipline and larger vision.
We are trying in our Vidyalayas to conduct the children to score in the material world, following the secular syllabus prescribed by the Government, but taught in an atmosphere of spiritual presence. We select, train and therefore expect our teachers to have such a spiritual balance in themselves so that they can spread around them the grace and glory of the spirit in the classroom. Under such a gracious canopy of moral and ethical charm, we find the students blooming into men and women, self controlled, disciplined and dynamically striving with a magnificent vision.
We all have our own way of seeing the world. An ordinary person blames his environment or those around him for his problems and frustrations. But a winner uses his negative or criticism to become a better person. He uses his positives to the best of his abilities.
This attitude is very important for all students. For a student, education is not just completion of routine learning of lessons with decent marks, it is much more than that and should manifest and mould into the student a personality with high sense of VALUES and NATIONAL PRIDE. Students should realize that they are living in a testing age, where protective walls of family values are not strong enough to withstand the pressure of peers and media, which often influences their decisions and life styles. Our success or failure is in our hands.
Remember, this is the right age to follow your ambition and your passion. Your ambition should have passion and your passion should have ambition, Cultivate the habit of reading books which has a long track record of success in imparting knowledge and wisdom. You should realize the importance of time, and manage it wisely to succeed in this ever competitive world.

The Chinmaya Vision Programme is what makes the Chinmaya Educational Institutions “School with a difference”. It concretizes Swami Chinmayananda’s vision of education.
This programme was born to enshrine the philosophy of education developed by Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda in the heart of every growing child to bring out the best in him or her.
The child is the focal point of this programme. The programme embraces school management, teachers and parents. Through them, the light of this vision spreads to the society, country and the world at large.
The CVP can be classified as follows :
It aims at the overall unfoldment and gentle blossoming of the child at the physical, mental, intellectual and spiritual levels of his/her personality.
It implies good health and proper growth of children leading to the optimum expression of their overall well-being. It includes physical fitness, nutrition, hygiene, personal grooming, health education, health assessment, prevention of diseases and their treatment.
It aims at helping a child to be emotionally balanced. It includes emotional expansion, handling emotions, handling relationships, gender specific education, mental health assessment and counselling.
CVP aims to help the child manifest his/her inherent intellectual capacities and enhance the existing ones. It includes intellectual kindling, independent thinking, management skills, aesthetics, intellectual assessment and guidance.
This is achieved through value education, mass chanting and yoga in our curriculum. All students also participate in the Gayatri Homam and Paduka Pooja performed in the school every week.
Here each child is given a wide exposure to our culture, cultural awareness, explanations of various customs and traditions through projects.
This vital area of focus includes education in citizenship, civic consciousness, fostering pride in being an Indian, in spite of diversity. It aims at moulding students into dedicated and committed citizens who take real pride in serving the nation.
This helps the child to view himself/herself as a responsible citizen of the world, live in harmony with the creation as well as become aware of being an intrinsic part of the macrocosm.
CVP is not an activity but a vision-inducing programme-the very spirit behind all activities in the Vidyalaya.
