Cultural activity

Cultural activities help in preparing students for real life and aids in strengthening their personal skills. Cultural activities not only help students to identify themselves with the school , but also assist students to develop themselves in a desired field and also improve skills such as organizational, presentation, leadership and interpersonal communication. As cultural activities are of paramount importance we have incorporated music, dance, and art & craft in the regular curriculum. Apart of this to imbibe holistic development the school has clubs, like literature, debate, Seva, heritage, scouts and guides, NCC, nature, Sahitya Sangh etc., which focus to develop the universal outlook of the students.

Play area

Play area provides crucial and vital opportunities for children to play and shows a clear link between play and brain development. All learning – emotional, social, motor and cognitive is accelerated, facilitated and fuelled by the pleasure of play. We have fully fenced outdoor play area with tall shady trees. The area is also provided with swings, See-Saw, sand pits, dig patch and shaded play space. The school also has a throw ball court and a basketball court .The school has a vast playground that provides a safe outdoors environment within the school that stimulates children to use their creative energy in healthy interactions with one another.

Library

The goal of the school library is to inculcate innovative strategies and help them develop the habit of reading the library facilitate ease of access. The library has an amazing collection of fiction, non-fiction, reference books, dailies, magazines and periodicals. A wide range of books aim to inculcate the joy of reading. An extensive reference section helps students to work on multi – dimensional projects in addition; there are resource books for teachers to help them keep updated with new advancements in education and their subjects. The library also has a projector to watch short stories, animated movies for the tiny tots.

Smart and spacious classroom

A well-equipped classroom can aid a child's development. Classrooms are spacious, voluminous and well ventilated with abundant natural light to provide the right ambience for an effective learning experience at school. Display boards are provided in every classroom, which are conceptualized and developed by both teachers and students for different events throughout the academic year. The classrooms are equipped with interactive board to improve the learning experience.

Sports

The school is committed to provide our students with representative sporting opportunities across all sports. The Sports Department recognises the need to work towards an inclusive approach that enables as many students as possible to train and develop their skills across the sports. The school focuses on both indoor and outdoor games and has been consistently developing teams and players in both indoor and outdoor games.

Parent partnership

The school has a strong PTA that plays a vital role in enhancing family-school partnerships and increasing parent participation in educational decision-making. Wide parental participation is encouraged related to learning as well as to the organisation of the school and its activities. This promotes transparency, better adjustment and creates a greater sense of shared responsibility around the development of school and students.

Transport

School provides buses for students. The buses are spacious with the required capacity to accommodate students. The bus drivers are responsible to pick & drop the children to their respective stops within an hour of the school starting and getting over. They ensure proper discipline & follow all mandated safety rules.

Health Care

The school has a medical infirmary room which has a regular trained and experienced nurse for service. A strict menu chart for food is followed in school to keep the students away from junk food. Regular session related to health and hygiene is conducted to create awareness about health and hygiene.

Laboratories

There are well–equipped laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and Computer Science which is equipped with all the necessary requirements as per CBSE norms. There is also a huge auditorium, assembly area, well up-dated library, Multimedia room to boost the overall development of the child.

Auditorium

The School is supported by a fully air conditioned School Auditorium which is equipped with the most modern and audio visual facilities and a massive seating capacity of approximately 500 people. The sound proof auditorium hosts numerous events including Annual day, Award functions, and Inter School Competitions. It is fitted with a LED projector, bright & modern light and effective sound system. All the major functions like various competitions and Workshops are held in this auditorium which gives exposure to the students in showcasing their talents and groom their inborn virtues.

Counselling

The school has a full time counsellor supporting the psychological, academic, and social development of students by counselling students, assessing students' learning and behaviour, helping families make informed decisions about their child's education, identifying adjustments to support students' learning and liaising with external agencies regarding students' well-being, resolving conflicts, motivating, encouraging and helping students face personal problems. The counsellor meets with students, parents, teachers and reports to the principal regularly. The counsellor also coordinates various school activities.

Green and clean campus

Our campus is located in a clean and pollution-free environment. The campus is environmental friendly and strictly follows practices and education combined to promote sustainable and eco-friendly practices in the campus.

Safety and security

Chinmaya Vidyalaya believes that it is essential to keep the school environment including the school buildings, premises, playgrounds, laboratories, computer rooms, libraries, toilets, drinking water facilities, school buses, transport area and the surrounding areas safe and secure. School buildings are built to ensure safety and be more resilient to hazards. When it comes to any catastrophe, whether natural or man-made, the school management has trained its staff, teachers as well as students to be better aware and prepared to respond. CBSE has also made it mandatory for its affiliate schools to have their buildings designed to be earthquake resilient and fitted with basic fire safety equipment. Schools must leverage low cost and environment-friendly technologies without compromising on structural soundness and safety of the buildings, to provide complete protection from natural disasters like earthquakes.
